Terms of Service

These General Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to the use of the Salfio platform (“Salfio”, “Service”) provided by Salfio B.V. (“Salfio”, “we”, “us”) to the customer (“Customer”, “you”).
Specific commercial terms (such as scope, duration, fees, and start date) are defined separately in a proposal, agreement, order form, or pilot description agreed between Salfio and the Customer.
1. Scope of application
1.1 These Terms govern the Customer’s use of the Salfio platform.
1.2 In case of conflict between these Terms and a specific proposal or order form, the proposal or order form prevails for the items explicitly covered there.
1.3 Any use of Salfio implies acceptance of these Terms.
2. Nature of the service
2.1 Salfio is a software platform that aggregates and analyzes client-related communication and data to provide insights, summaries, and assistance.
2.2 Salfio provides AI-assisted output, not professional advice, guarantees, or factual determinations.
2.3 Salfio does not replace human judgment, internal processes, or client communication.
3. Access and use
3.1 The Customer is granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited right to use Salfio for its internal business purposes.
3.2 The Customer is responsible for ensuring that only authorized users access the platform.
3.3 The Customer may not:
Use Salfio for unlawful purposes
Attempt to reverse engineer or misuse the platform
Use Salfio in a way that could harm Salfio or other customers
4. Data ownership and responsibility
4.1 All data provided, uploaded, or connected to Salfio by the Customer remains the property of the Customer.
4.2 The Customer confirms it has the right to process and share this data, including any client or third-party data.
4.3 The Customer is responsible for informing its employees and clients about how their data is used.
5. Data processing and AI usage
5.1 Salfio processes data solely to provide and improve the Service.
5.2 Salfio may use third-party infrastructure and AI providers to deliver functionality (e.g. cloud hosting, transcription, language models).
5.3 Salfio does not use customer data to train public or third-party AI models.”
5.4 The Customer acknowledges that:
AI-generated output may be incomplete, inaccurate, or interpretive
Sentiment analysis, summaries, and insights are indicative only
Salfio does not guarantee accuracy or completeness of AI output
6. Security and privacy
6.1 Personal data is processed by Salfio in accordance with its Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.
6.2 Salfio takes data protection seriously and applies reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect Customer data.
These measures include, for example:
Limiting access to client data to clients indicated by the customer and sources of data (e.g. email accounts, video call transcriber accounts) opted-in by the customer.
Encrypted storage of customer data
Encrypted connections between systems (HTTPS/TLS)
6.3 Salfio processes Customer data only to provide the Service and does not intentionally access customer content except where necessary for support, troubleshooting, or service improvement.
6.4 The Customer remains responsible for:
Managing user access
Internal policies regarding data usage
Informing its own clients and employees about data processing where required
7. Intellectual property
7.1 Salfio retains all intellectual property rights related to the platform, software, and underlying technology.
7.2 These Terms do not grant the Customer any ownership rights in Salfio.
8. Liability
8.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law:
Salfio is not liable for indirect or consequential damages
Salfio is not liable for decisions made based on Service output
8.2 Salfio’s total liability is limited to the fees paid by the Customer over the relevant period, as defined in the applicable agreement.
9. Termination
9.1 Termination conditions are defined in the applicable proposal or agreement.
9.2 Upon termination, access to the Service may be suspended or removed.
10. Governing law
10.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.
10.2 Any disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
